We are looking for dynamic customer service/sales professionals for the position of Visitor Information Counsellor. Located at a busy Provincial visitor centre, this role will maximize the economic benefits of tourism through promoting tourism products and services and by encouraging visitors to extend their stays.
Seasonal positions are required from May 1 to October 9, but positions for shorter seasons are available.
The successful applicants will work in a beautiful setting and meet interesting people from around the world. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving problems and will understand how to provide excellent customer service to customers through promoting and selling tourism products. Other requirements include:
- A good knowledge of travel in British Columbia
- A good knowledge of the Merritt area
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong sales skills
- Fluency in English. A second language is an asset
- Own transportation
Wages start at $13.50 per hour plus bonuses.
